Jen is intuitive, smart and clever - and that’s before you’ve even read a word she’s written. I hired her to be my features writer for Bernal Heights.com, a San Francisco neighborhood site with a focus on community. She directs the content creation with minimal direction from me. Her writing and photography skills are a powerhouse combination that is hard to find in a single artist.

From the Ashes…A Collaboration Rises

The company we keep largely determines how we experience life. This is one of the most poignant lessons I’ve learned in my own personal and creative growth. It was especially true in 2017 when I was the assistant director for a five- day women’s photography camp called Firefly Institute in the Bay Area. A few days before camp was scheduled, fires broke out that devastated Santa Rosa and Sonoma County.

Keeping Kids in the Classroom: Equity Work in SF Public Schools

Keller Williams is one of the largest real estate franchises in the country. The San Francisco office wanted to highlight the philanthropic work agents are doing in their communities. We strategized and created monthly “Spotlight Interviews” to tell those stories. Agents are nominated, by their peers, for a Q&A style piece that’s featured on the Keller Williams SF blog.

Neighbors Matter: Succulence from the Inside Out

Two of San Francisco’s premier real estate agents wanted to share stories of the people, businesses and a commitment to community that makes the Bernal Heights neighborhood so different. We strategized and created an editorial calendar that includes interviews, things to do, and the latest restaurant and shop openings, while focusing on the people who make them happen. The goal is to help potential clients understand the neighborhood and the neighbors, in addition to the real estate market, in one of the most expensive cities in the country.
