Author Landing Page & Email Sequence

Client: Anthony Arismendi

When Anthony was finishing his memoir, Outsider Agent, he needed to start building an email list from scratch. So before his website and book launch date, I set him up on MailerLite and wrote a landing page to share on social media. We used the first chapter as a lead magnet and called it a “Sneak Peak” to start building book launch momentum.

Book Landing Page with Lead Magnet

A landing page needs two key elements: a strong testimonial and no top navigation menu for the reader to click away.

Because Anthony’s memoir is about his exciting FBI career, I used a testimonial from a FBI colleague that fits with the tone of the book. A powerful headline, a succinct, book description, and his author bio, is enough to attract an ideal reader

After the book launched this was repurposed to deliver “free gift” for all his podcast interviews.

Nurture sequence that Connects with your reader

As a former FBI Special Agent, Anthony’s style can be more formal and he needed to create a connection.

His main message In this action packed memoir was about seeing obstacles as opportunities in life. So with a short email sequence that delivered the first chapter, I used a different life experience in each email and ended with a question to engage the reader. After the book launched the sequence was updated to include a call to action in the P.S. to buy the book on Amazon or leave an Amazon review.

“Jen’s expertise extends beyond just copywriting. She knows how to effectively communicate an author's professional magic. She uses the power of personality and infuses it into website content, emails, and landing pages.

By leveraging her skills, I was able to connect with my audience in a genuine and compelling way.”
